13General: Color TV Standard Settings (Settings for frame frequency)GeneralThe unit is delivered with the color TV standard not yet specified. To revise the settings for frame frequency according to thepreferred standard, refer to the procedures described below.1 After connecting the unit to the power supply and thenturning on the power, press the MENU button whilepressing the LIGHT button to open OPTION MENU.2 Turn the jog dial button to move the cursor (arrow) to theAREA SELECT item on the screenin OPTION MENU page, and then press the jog dialbutton.3 Select the area among NTSC, NTSC (J), and PAL. Afterselecting the area by turning the jog dial button, pressthe jog dial button.4 Move the cursor (arrow) to AREA SET by turning thejog dial button, and then press the jog dial button. Thefollowing window appears.5 Move the arrow () to YES and press the jog dialbutton. The settings selected in step 3 above arereflected in FACTORY and CURRENT data.6 Turn off the power supply once and then turn on it again.¡Notesy The settings are not saved unless AREA SET is executedeven if NTSC, NTSC (J), or PAL is selected in the AREASELECT.y When AREA SELECT is revised, the “ AREA SET”blinks.y When these items are set when the unit is used for the firsttime, only the following 8 items are revised.
