21Special FeaturesReviewing Locked-OutFrequenciesTo review the frequencies you locked out,hold down L/O (L/O RVW) at least 2 secondsduring a search. L-r appears. As you press8888 or 9999, all locked-out frequencies appearin sequence. When you reach the highestfrequency, the scanner beeps twice thenreturns to the lowest locked-out frequency.Removing All Locked-Out TagsFrom Frequencies1. Start a service bank or direct search.See “Using Direct Search” on Page 16.2. To review the frequencies you lockedout, hold down L/O (L/O RVW) for about 2seconds during the search. L-rappears.3. Hold down MON/CL then press L/O (L/ORVW). FLo ALL-CL appears.4. Press ENTER to clear all lockout tags.The frequency clears and 000.0000appears. To exit without clearing alllocked out frequencies, press MON/CL.Removing All Lockout Tags fromFrequencies in All Service Banks1. Press ENTER to clear the lockoutfrequencies in all the service banks(except the weather and marine banks).If you do not want to clear the lockouttags, press MON/CL to continuereviewing the lockout frequencies.Using PriorityYou can scan the programmed channelsusing the priority feature, and still not miss animportant or interesting call.Follow these steps to program the prioritychannel.1. Press PGM, then press PRI/ALERT.2. Enter the desired frequency using thenumber keys.3. Press ENTER.4. To turn on the priority feature, press PRI(ALERT) while scanning. PRI appears.The scanner checks the priority channelevery 2 seconds and stays on thechannel if there is activity. PCH appearswhen the scanner is set to the prioritychannel.5. To turn off the priority feature, press PRI.PRI disappears.If you designate a weather frequency as thepriority channel, the scanner detects theweather alert tone while the priority feature ison. When the scanner detects a weatheralert tone, ALErt flashes. To cancel thealert tone, press any key. The scannercontinues to monitor the weather channel.TURNING THE KEY TONEON AND OFFThe scanner is preset to sound a tone eachtime you press one of its keys. You can turnthe key tone on or off.1. If the scanner is on, slide POWER to OFFto turn it off.
