WAP Browser and MEdia Net 127• Secure connection: (WAP only).• Linger Time (sec.): set a time period (in seconds) after which thenetwork is disconnected if there has been no new data traffic in thattime.• Advanced Settings: allows you to configure some of the IP-specific information: Static IP, Static DNS, Server information, andTraffic Class.– Static IP: specify if you want to manually enter an IP address. If youwant the IP address to be automatically assigned by the server, removethe check mark.– Local phone IP: enter the IP address obtained from the networkoperator, if you checked the Static IP option.– Static DNS: specify if you want to manually enter the Domain NameServer (DNS) address. If you want the address to be automaticallyassigned by the server, remove the check mark.– Server 1/Server 2: enter the Domain Name Server (DNS) addresses.– Traffic Class: select the traffic class.Note: The WAP settings may vary depending on the service provider.Accessing the MEdia Net Homepage1. In Idle mode, press to launch the WAP browser andaccess the MEdia Net Home page.The content of the start-up homepage contains thefollowing selections:• Search field: allows you enter a text string into the field and thensearch the MEdia Net database for matches. Once you haveentered a word, press the Right Navigation key to select theSearch button and press the key to begin your search.• My Links: provides you with quick access to your those sites whichyou have setup in this category. Highlight one of these entries andpress the key to launch that web page.• Categories: provides you with a list of MEdia Net web pagescontaining links to a variety of special interest sites. Highlight aselection from this list and press the key. These categoriescan be edited from within Customize MEdia Net.Note: Prior to using these services, you must complete the MEdia Netregistration process located at: att.com/wireless, or you must agree tothe terms of the service agreement and setup the service on yourhandset.• My Account: provides you with access to a listing of your mostrecent purchases and available product (services). From the MyAccount screen, highlight My Purchases and press the keyto begin.• Customize MEdia Net: provides you with a list of MEdia Net setupand service options which allow you to configure different aspectsof the MEdia Net experience.
