18Back LightA back light illuminates the display and the keypad when youpress any key. It turns off when no keys are pressed within agiven period of time, and/or dims the light, depending on thesettings in the Backlight Time menu.Selecting Functions and OptionsYour phone offers a set of functions that can be customized foryour ease and specific needs. These functions are arranged inmenus and sub-menus, accessed using the two soft keys. Eachmenu and sub-menu allows you to view and alter the settings ofa particular function.If you select the Options soft key in Idle mode, thefollowing displays under the title of My Menu:• Recent Calls: allows you to access the numbers of calls you’verecently dialed, received, or missed.• Camera: launches the camera and camcorder options.• CV: allows you to access the Internet and download media filesdirectly to your phone.• Bluetooth: allows you to use the Bluetooth functionality of thehandset.• Calendar: allows you to view the Month, Week, and Day layoutviews. You can also create an Appointment, Anniversary,Holiday, Important, or Private entries.• Alarms: allows you to set or alter alarm settings, including a Wake-upAlarm.• My Account: allows you to manage your account from your phone’sbrowser. View your minutes, MEdiaNet, Internet, and messagingusage. You can check your account balances, pay your bill, changeservices, and reset your voicemail password.Appears when the phone’s profile is set to Silent. In thiscase, the speaker is muted and the phone vibrates anddisplays information.Appears when the phone’s profile is set to Driving. In thiscase, the speaker is active and will launch the currentlyselected ringtone or melody when the associatednotification is activated. This icon is accompanied onscreen by the Audio icon.Appears when the phone’s profile is set to Outdoor. Inthis case, the speaker is active, the volume settings areraised to their highest levels, any currently activeringtones or melodies are activated, and the phone’svibrate feature is activated.Shows the level of your battery. The more bars you see,the more power you have remaining.
