TASCAM DR-60D 9112 – MessagesThe following is a list of the popup messages that might appear on the DR-60D under certain conditions. Refer to this list if one of thesepopup messages appears and you want to check the meaning or determine a proper response.Message Meaning and responseFile Name ERRThe DIVIDE function would cause the file name to exceed 200 characters. The DIVIDE function adds “a” or “b” to theend of the original file name. Before choosing the DIVIDE function, connect the unit to a computer and edit the filename to less than 198 characters.Dup File NameThe DIVIDE function would cause the file name to be the same as that of an existing file. The DIVIDE function adds “a“or “b” to the end of the original file name. Before choosing the DIVIDE function, connect the unit to a computer andedit the file name.File Not Found The file either cannot be found or could be damaged. Check the file using a computer.Non-Supported The audio file is not a supported format. Please see "9 – Connecting with a computer" for file formats that this unitcan use.Battery Empty The battery is almost out of power. Replace the AA batteries.MBR Error Init CARDThe card is not formatted properly or the formatting is broken. Change the card or press the DATA dial when thismessage appears to format the card in FAT format.CAUTION: Execution of FAT formatting erases all data currently on the card.Format ErrorFormat CARDThe FAT formatting of the card is abnormal or broken. This message also appears if you FAT formatted the cardusing a computer connected by USB and if a new card is inserted in the unit. Always use the DR-60D to conduct FATformatting of cards to be used with it. Change the card or press the DATA dial when this message appears to formatthe card in FAT format.CAUTION: Execution of FAT formatting erases all data currently on the card.File Not FoundMake Sys FileThe system file is missing. This unit requires a system file for operation. When this message appears, press the DATAdial to automatically create a system file.Invalid SysFileMake Sys FileThe system file required to operate this unit is invalid. When this message appears, press the DATA dial to automati-cally create a system file.Invalid CardChange Card Something might be wrong with the SD card. Change the SD card.
