F reeF low Process Man ager Ope rator and Ad ministrator Guide2-30Workflow BuilderImporting workflowsThe Process Manager export/import workflow function providesworkflow portability and a method for backing up and restoringworkflows.To import a workflow, you must first generate an .xml workflow fileby selecting a workflow and exporting it to the desired folderlocation. The .xml file can then be imported into Workflow Builderon the same Process Manager server or imported into WorkflowBuilder on a second Process Manager server.The workflow is fully restored, including any referenceddirectories, hot folders, and profiles that were deleted after theworkflow was exported. At the conclusion of the import process,the status of workflow nodes is listed and the operator is notified ifactions are required to fully enable the imported workflows.The Import Workflow dialog displays after you select the file toimport.Status text: Status text displays above the upper and lower tablesand changes to reflect the on-going or completed status of theimport process.The upper table shows the import status of each workflow. Thelower table shows the status of nodes of the workflow selected inthe upper table.To import a workflowNOTE 1: Only .xml files can be selected.NOTE 2: If the .xml file is incorrectly formatted, an error messagesimilar to this displays: “The file [complete path] does not containreadable workflow data.”NOTE 3: If the .xml file contains workflows of the same names, thefollowing message displays: “Cannot import the followingworkflows [workflow names].
