7-987TIP:Install the pistons in the original positions.14. Install the connecting rod caps w to theconnecting rods, and then tighten newbolts K to the specified torques in 3stages.TIP:• Make sure that the protrusions x on theconnecting rod and connecting rod cap wface toward the flywheel magnet end of thecrankshaft.• In the 3rd tightening stage for the connect-ing rod bolts K, mark the connecting rodbolts and the connecting rod cap with iden-tification marks y, and then tighten thebolts 90° from the marks on the connectingrod caps.• Make sure that the crankshaft turnssmoothly.15. Install new gaskets L and the anodebolts M to the thermostat covers N, andthen tighten the anode bolts to the speci-fied torque.16. Install the anodes O to the thermostatcovers N, and then tighten them to thespecified torque.17. Install new gaskets P to the thermostatsQ, and then install the thermostats to thecylinder block.18. Install the thermostat covers N.19.
