(See page 5-21.)SpeedometerThe speedometer shows the vehicle’straveling speed.TachometerThe tachometer shows the enginespeed, as measured by the rotationalvelocity of the crankshaft, in revolutionsper minute (r/min).TIP In TRACK MODE, the tachometerstarts at 5000 r/min. In STREET MODE, the tachome-ter can be color-adjusted and hasa revolution peak hold indicatorwhich can be turned on or off.NOTICEECA10032Do not operate the engine in the ta-chometer red zone.Red zone: 11800 r/min and aboveFuel meterThe fuel meter indicates the amount offuel in the fuel tank. The display seg-ments of the fuel meter disappear from“F” (full) towards “E” (empty) as the fuellevel decreases.When the last segment starts flashing,or the fuel level warning icon comes on,refuel as soon as possible.TIP If all the fuel meter display seg-ments flash repeatedly, have aYamaha dealer check the relatedcircuits. When the Yamaha variable speedlimiter (YVSL) system is operatingin STREET MODE, the fuel meteris replaced by the YVSL display.(See page 4-8.)1.
