Old and aged tires shall bechecked by tire specialists to ascertaintheir suitability for further use.WARNINGEWA21232 The front and rear tires shouldbe of the same make and de-sign, otherwise the handlingcharacteristics of the motorcy-cle may be different, whichcould lead to an accident. Always make sure that the valvecaps are securely installed toprevent air pressure leakage. Use only the tire valves andvalve cores listed below toavoid tire deflation during a ride. The tire air valve original posi-tion is with the valve cap point-ing to the right side of thevehicle, perpendicular (90 de-gree right angle) to the axis(center line) of the wheel. If thetire air valve becomes mis-aligned, do not twist it back toits original position by yourself.Otherwise, leakage may occur.Have a Yamaha dealer inspectthe valve.After extensive tests, only the tires list-ed below have been approved for thismodel by Yamaha.WARNINGEWA10601This motorcycle is fitted with su-per-high-speed tires. Note the fol-lowing points in order to make themost efficient use of these tires. Use only the specified replace-ment tires. Other tires may runthe danger of bursting at superhigh speeds. Brand-new tires can have a rela-tively poor grip on certain roadsurfaces until they have been“broken in”.
