E-50BASIC PLAYBACK Playing the Dolby Digital EX or DTS ESsoftwareTap on the RECEIVER control panel to open the DSPcontrol panel. Then tap to turn on the Dolby Digital EX orDTS ES decoder to listen to the Dolby Digital EX and DTS ESsoftware with a rear center speaker.The display changes AUTO ^ Discrete 6.1 ^ Matrix 6.1 ^ OFFeach time is tapped.AUTO: This mode automatically switches Dolby Digital EX/DTSES Matrix 6.1/DTS ES Discrete 6.1 depending on the signal in theinput source that this unit can detect. Rear center speaker does notwork for 5.1 channel sources.Discrete 6.1: This mode can be selected when the source withDTS ES Discrete format has been detected. (The “DISCRETE”indicator lights up.)Matrix 6.1: This mode makes 6-channel playback of the inputsource with Matrix or Matrix compatible format through the Matrix6.1 decoder. (The “MATRIX” indicator lights up.)OFF: Rear center speaker does not work in this mode.Cautions• Some 6.1-channel compatible discs do not have the signal (flag)which this unit can automatically detect.
