E-82REMOTE CONTROL FEATURESAdding and moving Adding a componentIf you have a component that is not listed in the Device menu, youcan add it to the remote control.You cannot add components to the Home menu directly. You mustadd them via the Device menu.11 Make sure the device tab is active.The device tab is active when the name of a component isdisplayed.22 Switch to the Add mode via at the bottom of thetouch screen.The remote control displays the following choices:• : Choose this option to add a completelynew component.• : Choose this option to copy a componentalready listed in the Device menu (for example for a secondDVD).• : Use this option to restore a componentyou have deleted.33 Tap the component you want to add in the Devicemenu.Note• If the component you want to add is not listed, choose asimilar one. You can customize it later.The remote control allows you to add new components with orwithout RC codes.• : Choose this option if you think the newcomponent understands RC codes. The new component isadded with operational buttons.• : If you choose this option, the newcomponent is added without operational buttons. You willthen have to program them as explained in “Learning controlpanel buttons”.You cannot define a component in the Brand mode, becausethere are no RC codes available.44 Tap the button of your choice.The new component is automatically displayed in the Usemode.Note• A new device tab is automatically created in the Device menu andin the third Home menu panel. However, you cannot add thebutton of the new component to the audio/visual source panels. Moving a component, macro group or timergroupYou can change the order in the Device menu and the Macro menu.Changes you make in the Device menu are automatically updated inthe Home menu.11 Make sure the device tab or macro tab is active.The device or macro tab is active when the name of a compo-nent, macro or timer is displayed.22 Switch to the Move mode via at the bottom of thetouch screen.The remote control displays the menu.33 Tap the component or group you want to move.The menu item is highlighted.44 Use the left and right button to move the menu itemup or down.55 Tap to save the changes.You return to the Use mode.Note• The item at the top of the device tab corresponds to on thefirst Home menu panel. If you move the RECEIVER tab down, itis advisable to label with the name of the item at the top ofthe Device menu.
