912 CHAPTER 82: RRPP CONFIGURATIONc CAUTION:■ The control VLAN of an RRPP domain cannot be a static VLAN already createdon the switch. If you configure a dynamic VLAN as the control VLAN of anRRPP domain, the VLAN becomes a static VLAN automatically.■ You are not recommended to configure a VLAN as both an RRPP control VLANand a remote-probe VLAN. (Refer to “Mirroring Configuration” on page 685for information about remote-probe VLAN.)■ You are not recommended to configure a VLAN as both an RRPP control VLANand an isolate-user-VLAN/sub VLAN. (Refer to “Isolate-User-VLANConfiguration” on page 113 and “Configuring a Sub VLAN” on page 122.)■ Before creating an RRPP ring, you must create a control VLAN.■ RRPP and loopback test functions are mutually exclusive. You must disenablethe loopback test on the primary/secondary port of the master/transit node andthe common/edge port of the edge node.■ When deleting an RRPP domain by using the undo rrpp domain command, make sure no RRPP ring exists in the RRPP domain.■ The ring ID must be unique in the same RRPP domain.Transit NodeConfiguration ExampleNetwork requirements■ Define the switch as a node in RRPP domain 1.■ Define VLAN 4092 as the control VLAN■ Define the switch as a transit node on primary ring 1 in RRPP domain 1,GigabitEthernet2/0/1 as the primary port, and GigabitEthernet2/0/2 as thesecondary port.Configuration procedurec CAUTION: Make sure that the switch ports connecting the Ethernet rings havebeen configured as trunk ports. All ports allow data VLAN packets to pass. AndSTP has been disenabled on all the ports connecting the Ethernet rings. system-view[SW7750] rrpp domain 1[SW7750-rrpp-domain-1] control-vlan 4092[SW7750-rrpp-domain-1] ring 1 node-mode transit primary-port GigabitEthernet2/0/1 secondary-port GigabitEthernet2/0/2 level 0[SW7750-rrpp-domain-1] ring 1 enable[SW7750-rrpp-domain-1] quit[SW7750] rrpp enable[SW7750] display rrpp brief[SW7750] display rrpp verbose domain 1[SW7750] display rrpp statistics domain 1Edge NodeConfigurationConfigurationPrerequisitesThe switch ports connecting the Ethernet rings have been configured as trunkports.
