Setting Up - IBM Mainframe (zSeries)AXIS 5570e User’s Manual 57Defining theprinter to PSFEach Axis Network Print Server must be defined to PSF with a PRINTDEVstatement in the PSF startup procedure. The following keywords arerequired on the PRINTDEV statement:• IPADDR='xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'• PORTNO='xxxx'The IPADDR parameter specifies the IP address of the Axis Network PrintServer in dotted-decimal notation.Note:The PORTNO keyword specifies the TCP/IP port to use for the printsession. This port number must match the port number set up for the AxisNetwork Print Server in Configuring the Axis Network Print Server, onpage 42.Below is a sample procedure, APSWPROT, which you can modify to suityour installation. The PRINTDEV statement includes the required IPADDRand PORTNO keywords. In the PRINTDEV example below, the TCP/IP portnumber 5100 is used, but any port, larger that 1024, can be used as longas the same port is set up in the Axis Network Print Server. The APSWPROT procedure contains JCL parameters to produce a startupprocedure for either 240-pel and 300-pel printers, but the references to300-pel resolution are commented out. To create separate startupprocedures, make two copies of APSWPROT, and then follow thecommented instructions in APSWPROT. Keep one unchanged copy as yourstartup procedure for a resolution of 120 or 240 pels. In the second copy, delete or comment out all references to 240-pel resolution, and make allreferences to 300-pel resolution active. This changed copy is your startupprocedure for 300-pel resolution. If you want to print both 240-pel and 300-pel AFP/IPDS jobs, create twoDevice Statement ExplanationJUNIT Specifies:1. The device address (host-connected, channel-attached, non-SNA printersonly). Do not specify a device address for the Axis Network Print Server whenusing TCP/IP attachment.2. The name of the processor to which the device is attached3. A destination class for messages about the device4 .Whether the device is initially online or offlineThis parameter is required.MODE Specifies that the printer is managed by an FSS. This parameter is required.PM Specifies which data-set processing mode is supported. For the Axis NetworkPrint Server attached to Postscript printers, the correct setting isPRMODE=(LINE,PAGE,), indicating that composed-page and line datasets can be printed.WC Specifies the print output class that the printer is to process. You may want toconsider handling disabled mechanisms by defining print classes.Do not specify a host name in place of the dotted-decimal address.
