WPIM S/T Configuration4-9CSX WAN ConfigurationWPIM S/T ConfigurationThe WPIM-S/T provides an Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) BasicRate Interface (BRI) for the CSX400 only. This link is intended as a backup forwhen the device’s other WAN interface, the primary WPIM link, becomesdisabled. For information on setting up an ISDN backup WAN link, consult yourWPIM-S/T and CSX400 hardware documentation.Interface Configuration WindowAfter configuring the physical ports on your CSX, you must configure theindividual interfaces on the WAN ports. The WAN Interface Configurationwindow displays information about each WAN interface that is associated withthe physical ports.To open this window:1. From the WAN Configuration window click on . The WAN InterfaceConfiguration window will appear. As an example, Figure 4-5 shows a WANInterface Configuration window for a CSX201, which has a WPIM-T1 with 24interfaces.The following information is displayed for each interface.Conn#Displays the number of the physical connection the interface is on.Port# (Type)Displays the number of the physical port on the CSX that this interface is on. Thisfield also displays the type of port, i.e., Synchronous (sync) or T1 (t1).WanIf#Displays the WAN Interface number or the ordered number of the interface on theport. A Synchronous Port will have one interface numbered 1, for example, and aT1 Port will have interfaces numbered 1-24.
