See Forward CollisionAlert (FCA) System on page 9-52.When road conditions allow thecruise control to be safely used, youcan apply the cruise control again.J (On/Off): Press to turn thecruise control on and off. A whitecruise control indicator appears inthe instrument cluster when cruiseis turned on.+RES (Resume/Accelerate):Press the control up briefly to +RESto make the vehicle resume to apreviously set speed or press andhold to accelerate. If cruise controlis already active, use to increasevehicle speed. To increase speed by1 km/h (1 mph), press +RES up tothe first detent. To increase speed tothe next 5 km/h (5 mph) mark on thespeedometer, press +RES up to thesecond detent.SET− (Set/Coast): Press thecontrol down briefly to SET− to setthe speed and activate cruisecontrol. If cruise control is alreadyactive, use to decrease vehiclespeed. To decrease speed by1 km/h (1 mph), press SET− down tothe first detent. To decrease speedto the next 5 km/h (5 mph) mark onthe speedometer, press SET− downto the second detent.* (Cancel): Press to disengagecruise control without erasing theset speed from memory.Setting Cruise ControlIf the cruise button is on when not inuse, it could get bumped and go intocruise when not desired. Keep thecruise control button off when cruiseis not being used.1. Press J.2. Get up to the desired speed.3. Press and release the SET−control on the steering wheel.4. Remove foot from theaccelerator.When the cruise control has beenset to the desired speed, the cruisecontrol indicator appears green onthe instrument cluster and a cruiseset speed message appears on theHead-Up Display (HUD),if equipped.
