Black plate (22,1)Cadillac CTS Owner Manual (GMNA-Localizing-U.S./Canada/Mexico-6081492) - 2014 - CRC 1st Edition - 7/2/132-22 Keys, Doors, and WindowsExpress-Down/Up WindowsThe express feature allows thewindows to be raised and loweredall the way without holding theswitch.Press or pull the switch fully andrelease it to activate the expressfeature.Cancel the express mode by brieflypressing or pulling the switch.Express Window Anti-PinchFeatureIf any object is in the path of thewindow when the express-up isactive, the window will stop at theobstruction and auto-reverse to apreset factory position. Weatherconditions such as severe icing mayalso cause the window toauto-reverse. The window will returnto normal operation after theobstruction or condition is removed.Express Window Anti-PinchOverride{ WarningIf express override is activated,the window will not reverseautomatically. You or others couldbe injured and the window couldbe damaged. Before you useexpress override, make sure thatall people and obstructions areclear of the window path.To override the anti-pinch feature,hold the window switch all the wayup to the second position. Thewindow will rise for as long as theswitch is held. Once the switch isreleased, the express mode isreactivated.In this mode, the window can closeon an object in its path. Use carewhen using the override mode.Programming the PowerWindowsIf the vehicle battery has beenrecharged or disconnected, or is notworking, the front power windowswill need to be reprogrammed forthe express-up feature to work.Before reprogramming, replace orrecharge the vehicle's battery.To program:1. With the ignition in ON/RUN orACC/ACCESSORY, or whenRetained Accessory Power(RAP) is active, close all doors.2. Press and hold the powerwindow switch until the windowis fully open.3. Pull the power window switch upuntil the window is fully closed.4. Continue holding the switch upfor approximately two secondsafter the window is completelyclosed.
