Chapter 5 Paper Handling 5-11Paper HandlingPrinting on High Resolution PaperTo load high resolution paper in the MultiPASS, follow the same procedure as forloading paper in the multi-purpose tray (1 p. 2-19). However, before printing, be sureto raise both paper output guides as shown below:The paper output guides support the printed sheet as it exits the unit. This will keep thesheet from sagging and pulling through the unit as it exits, which can lead to poor printquality. When you finish printing on high resolution paper, lower the paper outputguides.nAlways lower the paper output guides when using the MultiPASS as a fax machine, or theycan cause received faxes to pile up and jam.Some types of high resolution paper require you to clean the MultiPASS’ rollers afterusing a package of this paper. Refer to the instructions included with the high resolutionpaper. If you need to clean the rollers, see below.Using the Cleaning SheetRead the instructions provided with the high resolution paper to see if you are requiredto clean the MultiPASS’ rollers after using a package of this paper.
