8-14 Chapter 8MultiPASS L90 Setup and Other Utilities in the Desktop ManagerJ Manual/Auto Switch Ring TimeIf the Manual/Auto Switch Mode is set to automatic, you set the number ofseconds the MultiPASS L90 rings before switching to document receivingmode.J Answer Hook Up Answer/Fax SwitchYou select this option to set the MultiPASS L90 to automatically switch to faxreceive mode if your telephone caller does not speak within the specifiedamount of time.J Answer Hook Up Silent TimeIf you selected the Answer Hook Up Answer/Fax Switch option, you use thisoption to set the number of seconds the MultiPASS L90 should wait beforeswitching to fax receiving mode if the telephone caller does not speak.J Remote ReceiveYou select this option so that you can set the MultiPASS L90 – with thetelephone handset or from a telephone extension – to receive a fax if anincoming call is ringing on the MultiPASS L90. If you select this option, youmust assign a remote identification number that signals the MultiPASS L90 toreceive the fax.J Remote Identification NumberIf the Remote Receive option is selected, you assign the identification numberyou will use to set the MultiPASS L90 to receive a fax.Setting Up Speed Dial AssignmentsOn the Speed Dial tab, you can set up fax numbers for speed dialling with theMultiPASS L90. You use the fax recipients set up in your Address Book, andassign the desired individual recipients to speed dial codes. If the recipient hasnot yet been set up in the Address Book, you can add the recipient while creatingspeed dial assignments. You can also set up a group speed dial, by assigning twoor more individual speed dial assignments to a single speed dial assignment.For reference, you can print the list of speed dial assignments to display near theMultiPASS L90.
