8-30 Chapter 8MultiPASS L90 Setup and Other Utilities in the Desktop ManagerUsing MultiPASS DiagnosticsIf you have difficulties with your MultiPASS software or hardware, you can usethe MultiPASS Diagnostics. You use the MultiPASS Diagnostics to verify yourMultiPASS software and hardware installation, and identify hardware problems.The MultiPASS Diagnostics produces a report with information you can use toresolve your problem. You can save the report to an ASCII text file on your harddrive.To use MultiPASS Diagnostics:1. Open the MultiPASS Diagnostics.I For Windows 3.1:On the Windows desktop, double-click the MultiPASS Diagnostics icon.I For Windows 95:On the Windows desktop, click Start, and then point to Programs. On thePrograms menu, click MultiPASS L90 Utilities. Then click MultiPASSDiagnostics.The MultiPASS Diagnostics displays a message indicating if all tests wereperformed successfully. Messages appear suggesting solutions for anyproblems detected.2. When prompted in a dialog box, click Yes to view the log file.3. In the MultiPASS Diagnostics window, to save the log file, choose Save As onthe File menu.4. In the Save As dialog box, specify the drive, directory, and filename for savingthe file. Then click OK.5. To exit the MultiPASS Diagnostics window, on the File menu, click Exit.
