5-2 Chapter 5PC FaxingFaxing with Your ComputerYou can use the Desktop Manager, with the MultiPASS L90, to send and receivefaxes. The Fax Log maintains a record of the faxes you send or receive.To enhance the sending of faxes, you can also set up an Address Book,containing the recipients to whom you repeatedly send faxes, and design yourown fax cover page.You can customise your MultiPASS L90 unit by changing the factory default usersettings from your PC. Some of these settings include the format of the date thatappears on your faxed documents, and how many times the MultiPASS L90 callsanother fax unit if initially the other party’s line is busy. You can also registerone-touch/coded speed dial and group numbers via the Desktop Manager andthen download them to the MultiPASS L90 unit.You can also register information (such as the ones mentioned above) directlyinto your MultiPASS L90 unit via its operation panel. Note that theoption settings that you define in the Desktop Manager override thecorresponding option settings you may have previously defined manually via theoperation panel.In addition to PC Faxing, you can send your documents directly from theMultiPASS L90 unit. To PCfax, you create and then print a document from the desired Windows applicationusing the MultiPASS L90 fax driver.
