10 | EnglishNotes on Multi-function Key SystemMulti-function Key System serves to control variousfunctions with the [2] — [5] buttons.The basic operation of the Multi-function KeySystem is described below.What’s the Multi-function Key System?This unit is equipped with the Multi-function KeySystem that enables the operation of multiplefunctions with one button.For example, you can enter the Display ControlMode or turn ON/OFF the Random Play by pressingthe [3] button during CD play.Setting each functionThe function display will show the controllablefunction of the [2] — [5] button above the button.Pressing the [2] — [5] button below the desiredfunction enables the setting of the function.Displaying the desired functionIf five or more functions are available to be set withthe [2] — [5] button, they are divided into multiplefunction groups (referred to as sections in thismanual) for registration.Press the [NEXT] button to switch the sections.If the display of the desired function is not shown,press the [NEXT] button 1 to 3 times to switch thesections until the wanted function display is shown.Example: Function display of CD & External discsource• "MRDM", "H-F", "SYNC" or "DISP" are displayed when anoptional accessory is connected.Real operational example of the Multi-function Key SystemExample: Turning ON/OFF the Random Play duringCD play.1.
