Using the Console Interface302401-D Rev 00 3-39MultiLink Trunk Configuration ScreenThe MultiLink Trunk Configuration screen (Figure 3-17) allows you to configureup to six trunks in a standalone switch or stack. In a stack configuration, trunkmembers can be distributed between any of the units within the same stackconfiguration.Any mix of up to eight BayStack 450 switches and BayStack 410-24T switchescan be stacked to provide a total of 224 ports (when all MDA slots are configuredwith the maximum port availability).Figure 3-17 shows six trunks in a stack configuration:• Trunk 1 has four trunk members in unit 3.• Trunks 2, 3, 4, and 5 each have two trunk members in individual units.• Trunk 6 has four trunk members distributed into four separate units of thestack.When the trunks are enabled, the trunk members take on default settings necessaryfor correct operation of the MultiLink Trunking feature. These default settings canaffect the correct operation of your configured network. If you disable a trunk, youmay need to reconfigure the specific trunk members switch ports to return to theprevious switch configuration.
