ETSI MCDN and network features / 167P0992638 03 Modular ICS 6.0 Installer GuideFor example:• When a call comes in on ETSI ISDN and is returned to adestination being serviced by ETSI ISDN, BTNR 191,Analogue or DASS2 lines, then ETSI Call Forward (CFU,CFB or CFNR) is used.• When a call comes in on ETSI ISDN and is returned to aprivate network destination over DPNSS, then ExternalCall Forward (ECF) is used.• When a call comes in on DPNSS 1 and is returned on anyline type except DPNSS 1, ECF is used. If that call isreturned over DPNSS, however, then DPNSS 1 Diversion(DIV) is used. Refer to Network Call Diversion on page165• When a call comes in on any other line type, such asAC15A, then again ECF is used. Note that under certainline conditions, ECF will not work; refer to LineRedirection restrictions.Note: In all cases, if NCD fails due to network errors orrejections, Norstar invokes ECF. If an outgoing line isunavailable, Norstar routes the call to the line’s primeextension.Programming and restrictionsNCD features are accessed through existing Norstar features.Extensions requiring redirection must be programmedindividually to either CFAC or SLR. CFB or CFNA must beset during programming. Allow redirect must be set to Yesfor each extension, in Terminals&Extns/Capabilities.Note: Any other programming applied to specific lines andextensions take precedence, for exampleRestrictions(extns) under Terminals&Extns.
