To clear a paper jam, follow the instructions below.Note: If you are experiencing many paper jams, it may be due to thetype of paper you are using. For best results, slect a paper whichhas been developed specifically for photocopying or laserprinting. Be sure to fan the paper before loading it into yourpaper tray.WARNINGIF YOU OPEN THE TOP COVER, YOU WILL SEE A LABEL THATREADS CAUTION-HOT. THIS AREA IS EXTREMELY HOT ANDMUST NOT BE TOUCHED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.1. Lift the top cover and swing it out of the way.2. Grasp the control panel. Pull upward and toward you until itreleases. Swing the control panel out of the way.CAUTION:Never expose the image drum unit to light for more than 5 minutes. Neverexpose the image drum unit to direct sunlight. Always hold the image drumunit by the ends. Never touch the surface of the green drum inside the imagedrum unit.
