If there areproblems using the given port number, select a newnumber.Note: Windows NT will not permit the use of Port 9for discovery. Select one of the other availableports.Starting a Telnet SessionA simple telnet interface has been provided tocommunicate with devices supporting telnet. A telnetsession can be started by selecting the OkiLAN 6120efrom the print server list and choosing the TelnetSession option from the Tools menu. For moreinformation about how to configure an OkiLAN 6120eusing telnet, see Chapter 6.Starting the BOOTP ServerOKI has provided a stand-alone BOOTP server to helpassign IP addresses to the OkiLAN 6120e.To access the stand-alone BOOTP server, selectBOOTP Server from the Tools menu or run theprogram bootpsrv.exe from Windows. The BOOTPserver displays all BOOTP activity on the localnetwork. It responds to BOOTP requests for which thehardware address has been entered into the BOOTPfile.
