An agent can also send an unsolicitedmessage Trap to a manager when it encounters anunusual condition.The OkiLAN 6120e is a fully functional SNMP agentand supports, to the extent of open industry standardssuch as RFC 1759, any standard SNMP managementplatform, including:• HP OpenView• Novell NMS• Sun SunNet Manager• IBM NetViewPrivate MIBOkiLAN 6120e SNMP support has been enhanced witha private MIB. It is accessible via SNMP over TCP/IPand IPX. This private MIB contains over 150configuration and status variables for the networkprotocols, printer ports, network interface, printersettings, and the overall OkiLAN 6120e status. Printerstatus traps such as on-line, off-line, detached printerand printer error are also provided.The setting of certain variables causes an immediatefirmware reset. These variables are listed in the privateMIB under cmdReset.
