When necessary,other sections in this manual have been referenced for more detailed descriptions orinstructions.1. Get a list of current users, their extension numbers, their departments, and the type ofsystems they use (mailbox, no mailbox, beeper, car phone...).2. Assess your customers' needs before setting up the system. You will save yourself time laterby giving customers what they need up front. Ask the office manager how the VPS will beused. Give examples.Recommend that your customer use a word processor to log the greetings. You will findthese files much more easily than the worksheet pages if you need to make changes downthe road.3. Check the software version (See Section 3 INTEGRATING THE VPS WITH PANASONICKX-T PHONE SYSTEMS).• KX-T123211D (See 3.3.2 KX-T123211D Software Verification andProgramming)4. For the KX-TVS200 - install optional port expansion cards (See "KX-TVS200" in2.4.1 General).5. Standard Initialization (For DPT Connection)a) Program the ports of the PBX for voice processing (See 4.2 CONNECTING THE KX-TVS75/100/200 WITH THE PANASONIC KX-TD816, KX-TD1232 AND KX-TD308).b) Turn the power off.c) Plug station wire(s) from the PBX into VPS (See 2.5 CONNECTIONS - KX-TVS75/100 and 2.6 CONNECTIONS - KX-TVS200).Program the KX-TD1232, the KX-TD816, the KX-TD308 or the KX-TD500 forVoice Mail integration. If possible, use DPT.• KX-TD816, KX-TD1232, KX-TD308, KX-TD500Programming may be performed on-site or at the office.All memory is stored to a hard drive and will be retained when the unit is poweredup as long as the red rotary switch has been returned to position [0] prior toturning the unit off.
