Use the F3 (§) and F4 (¶)buttons to select each item, and turn the DATAwheel to change the value.MODEOFF Default, metronome OFFREC&PLAY Functions both duringrecording and playbackREC ONLY Functions only duringrecordingTEMPOSet speed from 20 to 250 beats per minute (BPM).The default setting is 120.BEATSet the frequency of the accent from 1 to 12 fordifferent time signatures.The default setting is 4.LEVELSet the metronome volume from 0 to 100.The default setting is 100.3 When finished making settings, press the HOMEbutton to return to the Home Screen.The metronome functions according to the MODEsetting made in step 2 above.The metronome signal is not recorded even if set tooperate during recording.NOTEWhen the metronome is operating, you can monitor•the sound of the metronome through connectedexternal speakers. In this case, the metronome soundmight also be recorded when you use a microphone torecord.When the metronome is operating, you can adjust the•LEVEL, but other items on the METRONOME screencannot be changed. Moreover, during recording,you cannot open the METRONOME screen. You canadjust the LEVEL if you start recording while theMETRONOME screen is open and do not switch to adifferent screen.TIPYou can use the metronome like a click track to help•keep time when recording the first tracks (rhythmguitar, bass, etc.) in a song.If you want to use the metronome when practicing,•you can either turn each track’s fader all the way downduring playback or play a song that does not have anyrecordings.TunerUse the built-in chromatic tuner to tune guitars and windinstruments.In addition to the chromatic tuner mode, which allowsyou to tune an instrument while looking at the tuningmeter, this unit’s tuner, also has an oscillator mode thatoutputs a standard pitch.Chromatic tuner mode1 Connect a guitar or bass to INPUT A. INPUT Bcannot be used for tuning.Use built-in MIC A when tuning wind instruments,for example.2 Set the INPUT A switch to GUITAR (see “Selectingthe input source” on page 38).To use the built-in mic, set the INPUT A switch toINTERNAL MIC A.3 When the recorder is stopped, press TUNER to openthe TUNER screen.The value of the CALIB item (standard frequency) isselected.
