OilPressure Warning Light, Engine Service Light, andWarning Horn should all operate, indicating normalfunction.CHECK FUNCTION OF SAFETY INTERLOCKSWITCHESRefer to Operating Instructions to check for properoperation of safety switches, both during enginestarting and with the operator leaving the seat withtractor moving forward or with mower blades engaged.CHECK TIRE PRESSUREDeck Caster Wheel = 20 PSI (137 kPa)Drive = 15 PSI (103 kPa)Tailwheel = 20 PSI (137 kPa)CHECK SECURITY OF DRIVE TIRE MOUNTING NUTSThe eight (8) Drive Tire mounting nuts should eachbe torqued to 75 to 85 lb·ft (102 to 115 N·m).ADJUST MOWER CUTTING HEIGHT, IF REQUIREDRefer to ADJUSTING CUTTING HEIGHT in Operating Instructions.CHECK AND CLEAN GRASS BUILDUP UNDERNEATH MOWER DECKRefer to CLEANING the Grass Buildup in MowerDeck Housing in Maintenance Instructions for decktiltup and deck cleaning information.DANGERNever operate cutter blades with deck inraised position because it is hazardous.The tiltup deck is secured in the raised positionusing the following procedure:1. Remove the tilt bar from the stowed position onthe carrier frame.2. Use the tilt bar to release the two (2) deck locking arms as shown in the Unlock Deck Armsfor Deck Tilt-Up illustration.2802-5<15°1.2.Tilt BarUnlock Deck Arms for Deck Tilt-Up3. Fit tilt bar into the socket on front of deck housing and secure with hitch pin.4. Remove footrest or, if equipped with adjustablefootrests, move the footrest to the full forwardlocking position.5. Raise deck to tiltup position using tilt bar andsecure in position by inserting the deck hook inthe tiltup latch on the tractor body as shown inthe Deck Secured in TILT-UP Position photo.Before operating the mower, make sure to reengage the locking arms into the LOCKEDposition after lowering the deck to the normaloperating position.CAUTIONDo not operate mower with deck tilt-uppivot joint UNLOCKED. Make sure lockingarms are in the LOCKED position and thetilt-up joint is rigid (locked).DANGERDo not operate the mower with deck in tilt-up position. Do not move the tractor withthe deck in the tilt-up position.
