Operating Instructions42ADJUSTABLE FOOT RESTSSome carrier frames are outfitted with adjustablefoot rests. To adjust, rotate the footrests upward andslide to the desired position. Rotate the footrestdown and insert the edge of the footrest into thenearest notch to lock in position.Adjustable FootrestADJUSTING CUTTING HEIGHTWARNINGNever adjust cutting height while the mow-er is moving. Before adjusting cuttingheight or servicing, move the ForwardSpeed Control (FSC) into the NEUTRAL-PARK position, engage the parking brake,and disengage the blade clutch (PTO).Tractor should not be moving while adjust-ing cutting height.Cutting height is adjusted from operator’s seat usingthe deck lift pedal to assist in raising the deck whileadjusting the cutting height hitch pin.1. Disengage PTO and stop tractor.2. Push down on deck lift pedal until it latches inthe full up (transport) position.3. Select the desired cutting height by moving thehitch pin to the location shown on the cuttingheight decal.4. Push down on the lift pedal and lift up on thecutting height release lever.
