8825/8830 DDS User Guide/56Special features and making special copiesPrinting a small sample of an Image−Sample KeyThe Sample key allows the operator to print a small sample of a scannedimage and check it for quality or observe the results of features or copyquality adjustments. The dimensions of the sample are the width of thepage by 210 mm. The sample is taken from a point equidistant from thelead and trail edge of the image.Press the Sample key. The associated indicator lamp illuminates, and the8830 DSS is placed in PRINTER INTERRUPT mode. The printerimmediately prints a sample of the next image inserted into the scanner, andthe SAMPLE MODE screen is displayed.Press START to print the complete image as a full-size copy. Press theC/CA key to delete the scanned image.To disable the Sample feature, press the Sample key again. The printer isreturned to the default priority setting, and the associated indicator lamp isswitched off.SAMPLE MODEPRESS START TO ACCEPT PAGE.PRESS C/CA TO REJECT.
