Whenthe sensors and switch are not actuated, HIGH is displayed. Uponactuation, LOW is displayed.To check the sensors and switch, perform the following steps:1. Open the Top Cover.2. Lift out and remove the Document Hold-down Guide.3. Select INPUT from the COMPONENT TESTS menu. The INPUT screenis displayed.4. Press the Start key.5. Using a folded piece of paper, actuate each sensor and observe that theassociated display goes from HIGH to LOW. Deactuate each sensorand observe that the display goes from LOW to HIGH.6. Actuate the FORWARD/REVERSE switch in each direction, andobserve that the associated display goes from HIGH to LOW.7. If the required indications are not obtained, call for service.8. Install the Document Hold-down Guide and close the Top Cover.9.
