You can also print test pages to more preciselydetermine the print quality problem. See Printing Printer Test Pages on page 178.If the print quality does not improve after carrying out the appropriate action, contact Xerox CustomerSupport or your reseller.Note: Your printer comes with the option to continue printing even if a toner cartridge is low or out.You can enable or disable this feature. See the Toner Out Action section in the General Setup Menuon page 144.Symptom Cause SolutionNothing is printed or there areblank spots on the printedpage.One or more of the tonercartridges may be defective.Remove the toner cartridge and inspectit for damage.The imaging unit may bedefective.Remove the imaging unit and inspect itfor damage. If it is damaged, replace it.The media is moist fromhumidity.Remove the moist media and replace itwith new, dry media.Adjust the humidity in the mediastorage area.The media set in the printerdriver does not match themedia loaded in the printertray.Load the correct media in the printer orchange the media chosen in the printerdriver to match the media loaded in thetray.The power source does notmatch the printerspecifications.Use a power source with the properspecifications. See ElectricalSpecifications on page 211.Several sheets are being fed atthe same time.Remove the media from the tray andcheck for static electricity. Fan plainpaper or other media and then replace itin the tray.Media is not set properly in thetray.Remove the media, tap it to straightenand align it, then return it to the trayand realign the media guides.The entire sheet is printed inblack or other color.One or more of the tonercartridges may be defective.Remove the toner cartridges and inspectthem for damage.
