COMPRESSION PRESSURE MEASUREMENT/ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION INSPADJ2-20WARNINGNOTE:CAUTION:CAUTION:Measurement steps: Turn the main switch to “ON”. With the throttle wide open, crank the engineuntil the reading on the compression gaugestabilizes. To prevent sparking, ground all spark plugleads before cranking the engine. The difference in compression pressure be-tween cylinders should not exceed 100 kPa (1kg/cm 2, 14.2 psi)6. Install: Spark plugSpark plug:13 Nm (1.3 mkg, 9.4 ftlb)ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION1. Inspect: Engine oil levelDo not run the engine with too much or notenough oil in the oil tank. Oil could flow intothe intake silencer and the engine could bedamaged.Inspection steps: Place the snowmobile on a level surface andapply the parking brake. Start the engine, warm it up for 10 15 min-utes, and then turn off. Disconnect the oil level gauge coupler.Disconnect the oil level gauge coupler be-fore removing the oil level gauge. Otherwisethe lead can twist and become severed. Remove the oil level gauge, wipe it clean, in-sert it back into the filler hole (without screwingit in), and then remove it again to check the oillevel.
