The fuel cockhas the three positions:OFF: With the lever in this position, fuel willnot flow. Always return the lever to thisposition when the engine is not running.ON: With the lever in this position, fuel flowsto the carburetor. Normal riding is donewith the lever in this position.RES: This indicates reserve. If you run out offuel while riding, move the lever to thisposition. FILL THE TANK AT THEFIRST OPPORTUNITY. BE SURE TOSET THE LEVER TO “ON” AFTERREFUELING.EC159000STARTER KNOB (CHOKE)When cold, the engine requires a richer air-fuelmixture for starting. A separate starter circuit,which is controlled by the starter knob 1, sup-plies this mixture. Pull the starter knob out toopen the circuit for starting. When the enginehas warmed up, push it in to close the circuit.FUEL TANK CAPRemove the fuel tank cap 1 by turning coun-terclockwise.WARNINGDo not overfill the fuel tank. Avoid spillingfuel on the hot engine.1SIDESTANDThis sidestand 1 is used to support only themachine when standing or transporting it.WARNING Never apply additional force to the side-stand.
