Avoid any contact with skin,eyes and clothes. Read the safety data sheets on Immersol 518 N, Immersol 518 F andImmersol W carefully. If skin contact occurs, wash off with lots of water and soap.If eye contact occurs, flush with water immediately for at least 5 minutes. Seek medicalassistance if irritation continues.CAUTIONDispose of immersion fluid Immersol 518 N appropriately: Do not allow to contaminatesurface water or get into drains.CAUTIONFor stands equipped with motorized focusing drives, there is a risk of fingers being crushed inthe working area when the microscope stage is lowered.Do not reach into the area between the microscope stage/stage carrier/condenser carrier andthe base of the stand while the stage is being lowered.ATTENTIONThe manufacturer assumes no liability for any use of the microscope, its assemblies orindividual parts if these are used in in a manner or for any purpose other than those describedin this operating manual. This also applies to any maintenance or repair work not performedby authorized maintenance and repair personnel. Moreover, the warranty and any claimsthereunder will be voided.ATTENTIONMicroscope lamps radiate a lot of heat which could damage the heat-sensitive fluorescencefilters. Do not remove the heat protection filter when using a fluorescence filter; otherwise thefluorescence filter may not function properly.ATTENTIONDirt and dust may affect the microscope’s performance. Protect it by using a dust cover whenit is not in use. Always make sure that the instrument is switched off before covering it up.ATTENTIONClosing or covering the ventilation slits may result in heat accumulation which could damagethe instrument and even start a fire. Ensure that the ventilation slits are always kept open,uncovered and clear. Do not insert or drop anything into them or let anything fall into them.
