29INSTALLATION Check the appliance is electrically safe and gas sound when you have finished.Electrical ConnectionThis appliance must be installed by a qualified electricianto comply with with current AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules andregulations in force.Make sure that the mains characteristics (voltage, nominal,power, etc.) match the ratings indicated on the data plateaffixed to the range.The range is preset for a single-phase earthed electricalconnection. It is essential to install a multi-pole circuit breakerthat completely disconnects the appliance from the mains,with a minimum contact break distance of 3 mm.nn WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.The appliance must be connected to an efficient earthingcircuit. If the electricity network is not equipped with anearth connection, then it must be installed separately incompliance with local regulations.Earthing is a safety measure required by law, and must beperformed with particular care by a qualified technician, whomust also check that the electricity supply characteristics arecorrect.See the ‘Technical Data’ section for information on the totalelectrical load of the appliance. The cable size used should besuitable for this load and comply with all local requirements(i.e. PVC Insulated cable IEC 60227 – code 53 for ordinarycables).Access to the mains terminal is gained by removing theelectrical terminal cover box on the back panel. Connectthe mains cable to the correct terminals for your electricalsupply type (Fig. 9.13 and Fig. 9.14). Check that the links arecorrectly fitted and that the terminal screws are tight.
