Check appliance is safe when you have finished.38Tall OvenOpen the tall oven door and remove the 2 lower screws andwashers and remove the upper screw and washer securingthe inner back to the back of the oven (Fig. 12.7).Carefully lift away the inner back.Reassemble in reverse order, making sure that you fullytighten the 3 screws and washers.5.3 To Change the Fan in the Right-hand Ovennn DISCONNECT FROM THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.Pull the cooker forward to gain access to the rear. Removethe screws securing the electric cover to the back sheet andremove the cover. Disconnect the 3 terminals connected tothe fan, noting their position.Remove the oven inner back (see 5.2). Hold the fan blade andremove the centre nut (left-hand thread), 2 brass washers, fanblade and circlip. Unscrew the fan retaining nuts and washers(3 off each) and lift the fan away from the rear of the cooker.Fit the new fan and reassemble in reverse order. Check theoperation of the oven.5.4 To Remove an Oven Element Thermal Cut-outnn DISCONNECT FROM THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.Pull the cooker forwards to gain access to the cover box.Undo the cover screws and lift clear.The cut-out is located on the earth plate beside the ovenelement connections. Disconnect the cut-out wiring. Undothe fixings that secure the cut-out to the earth plate andremove.Fit the replacement control and re-assemble in reverse order.5.5 To Remove the Right-hand Oven Elementnn DISCONNECT FROM THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.Remove the oven inner back (see 5.2).Remove the 2 screws from the top of the element and the 1from the bottom of the element (Fig. 12.8). Carefully lift theelement out, disconnecting the terminals connected to theelement (noting their positions).If it is not possible to disconnect the leads in this way, pull thecooker forward to gain access to the rear, remove the screwssecuring the electric cover to the back sheet, remove thecover and disconnect the terminals from the rear.Fit the new element and reassemble in reverse order.
