Cap the wheel motorhydraulic fittings.Bodily injury hazard. Sprayinghydraulic oil can penetrate andburn skin. Loosen hydraulicconnections very slowly to allowthe oil pressure to dissipategradually. Do not allow oil tosquirt or spray.4 Loosen the wheel lug nuts. Do notremove them.5 Block the non-steering wheels, and then centera lifting jack under the steering axle.6 Raise the machine 15 inches (38 cm) and placeblocks under the chassis for support.7 Remove the lug nuts, then remove the tire andwheel assembly.8 Remove the roll pin from the upper king pin.9 Remove the retaining bolts from the upper andlower king pins.10 Attach a strap from a lifting device to theyoke/torque hub assembly for support.4WD Steering Axle Components14-1Yoke and HubHow to Remove the Yokeand HubThe yoke installation utilizes bushings and a thrustwasher that may require periodic replacement.The yoke must be removed before the torque hubcan be removed.1 Start the engine from the ground controls.Rotate the turntable until the platform isbetween the steer tires.2 Remove the pin retaining fasteners, thenremove the pivot pin from both the steeringcylinder and the tie rod cylinder.a king pinb torque hubc yoked pivot pine tie rod cylinderf steer cylinderabcdef
