Attention: When you install an adapter, make sure that the adapter iscorrectly seated in the riser-card assembly and that the riser-card assembly issecurely seated in the riser-card connectors on the system board before youturn on the server. An incorrectly seated adapter might cause damage to thesystem board, the riser-card assembly, or the adapter.10. Install the cover (see “Installing the cover” on page 130).11. Slide the server into the rack.12. Reconnect the power cord and any cables that you removed.13. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.Hard disk driveLocate the documentation that comes with the hard disk drive and follow thoseinstructions in addition to the instructions in this section.Attention: To avoid damage to the hard disk drive connectors, make sure that theserver cover is in place and fully closed whenever you install or remove a hard diskdrive.Note: If a RAID controller or adapter is installed, you might have to reconfigure thedisk arrays after you install or remove hard disk drives.
