Troubleshooting 8-53Problems with NEC EXPRESSBUILDERWhen the server is not booted from the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM, check the following:T Did you set the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER during POST and restart the server?→ If you do not set the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER during POST and restart theserver, an error message will appear or the OS will boot.T Is BIOS configuration correct?→ The boot device order may be specified with the BIOS setup utility of the server.Use the BIOS setup utility to change the boot device order to boot the system fromthe DVD-ROM drive first.T Is an error message appeared?→ When an error occurs while the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER is in progress, thefollowing message appears.After this message appears, check the error and take the appropriate correctiveaction according to the message listed in the table below.Message Cause and RemedyThis machine is not supported. This NEC EXPRESSBUILDER version isnot designed for this server. Execute theNEC EXPRESSBUILDER on the compliantserver.NvRAM access error. An access to the nonvolatile memory(NvRAM) is not acceptable.Hard disk access error. The hard disk is not connected or it is failed.Check whether the hard disk is correctlyconnected.The system-specific informationdoes not exist on the I/O board.Please restore the backup data orwrite the data by using [SystemInformation Management] of theOff-line Maintenance Utility.Only the authorized personnel areallowed to do this operation.The system-specific information cannot beacquired in the I/O board exchange and soon.
