What each button does depends on what thedisplay shows. Some display instructions that you may see whenmaking changes on the system include OK, CHANGE, or COPY. Inthis guide, display button instructions are underlined.Display buttonsThe programming overlayWhen you begin programming, a group of buttons on thetelephone become the buttons for moving through programmingheadings and settings. The programming overlay is a papercutout that is included with the Programming record. It relabelsthe four buttons to name the actions you use duringprogramming. If you lose the overlay, there is an extra overlayincluded in the back of this book that can be printed and cut out.Programming buttons are active or inactive at different stages ofprogramming.
