To keep your telephoneservice secure, distribute the password only to selectedpersonnel or make use of the basic password described below.Record your password in a secure place and change itperiodically.If you forget the administration or basic passwords, youcannot do any programming. Call your customer servicerepresentative to assign a new password.The password is a one to six-digit number. It is advised tomake your password at least six digits long for securityreasons. If you press CHANGE but do not enter a new password,the existing password is erased. Anyone can then accessprogramming without a password.The default System Coordinator password is ë÷éö,which is the same as ÛÜßÝß.One password cannot be a subset of another one. For example,you cannot have 123 and 12345.Using a Basic passwordIn addition to a System Coordinator password, there is a Basicpassword. This allows you to delegate some of the duties ofbeing a system coordinator to someone else without allowingaccess to sensitive programming.The default Basic password is õêé orÛÛàÝÛ.
