If changedto "MANUAL", the exposure level can be adjustedto five levels. Level 1 is the lightest level and level5 is the darkest level.E-mail/FTP settingsThe E-mail/FTP settings can be changed asnecessary to meet your needs.The E-mail/FTP settings are as follows:O Default sender setO Compression mode at broadcastingO Initial file format settingO Maximum size of e-mail attachmentsO BCC settingDefault sender setIf you do not select a sender when performing aScan to E-mail operation, the sender informationstored with this setting is automatically used.1 Touch the [SENDER NAME] key and thenenter the sender name.The sender name entry screen appearsUp to 20 characters can be entered.2 Touch the [OK] key.3 Touch the [RE.ADDRESS] key and thenenter the return address.Up to 64 characters can be entered.4 Touch the [OK] key.The entered return address appears. Check theaddress to make sure it is correct.Compression mode at broadcastingThis setting selects the compression mode forbroadcasting using Scan to E-mail or Internet-Fax.The compression mode set here is used for alldestinations regardless of their individualcompression mode settings.The initial setting is MH (G3).Initial file format settingYou can change the default file format (file type,compression mode, and file creation method) usedwhen the e-mail address is entered manually for aScan to E-mail transmission.The initial settings are as follows:File type: PDFCompression mode: MMR(G4)"SPECIFIED PAGES PER FILE" checkbox: NotselectedMaximum size of e-mail attachmentsTo prevent the size of image files transmitted byScan to E-mail from becoming too large, you canset a size limit.If the size of the image file created by scanning theoriginal exceeds the limit, the image file isdiscarded. The limit can be set from 1 MB to 10 MBin increments of 1 MB. The initial setting isUNLIMITED. If this setting is changed, the settingof "Maximum size of e-mail attachments" of I-Faxsend settings will also be changed similarly (page58).BCC settingIf “ENABLE BCC” is set, the [BCC] key is displayedin addition to the [TO] key and the [CC] key in theaddress book screen for Scan to E-mail. If“DISPLAY BCC ADDRESS ON THE JOB STATUSSCREEN” is set, in the destination informationdisplayed on the job status screen, BCC recipientsare also displayed in a similar way to CC recipients.If the checkmark is cleared, only the string “* BCCDESTINATION” is displayed.
