Sleep ModeYour machine goes from the power saving modeinto the sleep mode after a set period of time. Inthe sleep mode, the status of your machine isalmost the same as when it is turned off.The <POWER SAVE> key blinks while in thesleep mode.Notez The machine does not enter the sleep mode if an erroroccurs.z If time-set transmission is scheduled, the machine will notgo into sleep mode.z If the fax transmission is waiting for a redial, the machinecannot enter sleep mode.Memoz By factory default, the time interval to enter the sleepmode is set to 10 minutes. You can change the timeinterval by pressing the <SETTING> key on the operatorpanel and then selecting [Admin Setup] >[Management] > [Power Save] > [Sleep Time]. Returning to the Standby ModeTo return the machine to the standby mode fromthe power saving or sleep modes, press the<POWER SAVE> key on the operator panel.Memoz When your machine receives a print job from a computeror other devices, it automatically returns to the standbymode.Auto Power OffWhen your machine is not used for a certainperiod of time, it turns off the powerautomatically. Once the machine turns off thepower, you need to turn on to use it.The machine has three settings to select themachine's behavior on Auto Power Off.EnableAuto ConfigDisableEnableWhen your machine is not used for a certainperiod of time, it turns off the powerautomatically.Auto ConfigThe machine will not turn off the powerautomatically under the conditions listed below.- An Ethernet cable is plugged to networkinterface connection- A telephone cable is plugged to LINEconnectionDisableThe Auto Power Off function is disabled.
