ERROR If you see this or another errormessage, a problem occurred duringthe communication. Try resendingthe fax. Refer to the chapter onProblem Solving for assistance.Search Key DialingIf you are not sure which one Touch key or Auto Dial numbercontains the location you want to communicate with, use theSearch key to look through an alphabetical list of all of theLocation IDs programmed into your MFP.• When selecting locations, press the Search key. Thedisplay showsENTER 1-ST CHAR.• Repeatedly press the search key to look through the entirelist of locations in alphabetical order, or locate the letteryou want on the numeric keypad, and press that keyrepeatedly to look through Location ID’s beginning withthat letter.! When programming your One Touch or Auto Dial keys,enter the last name first. Searching under the last namewill produce quicker results.Instant DialingWith the instant dialing feature, your OKIOFFICE providestwo important benefits:• It will begin scanning data into memory as it beginsdialing. As page two is being scanned, page one is alreadybeing transmitted. This saves time, since the machine doesnot wait for a connection on the receiving end beforestarting to scan your document.• As pages are scanned into memory and memory fills,scanning pauses briefly until more pages are transmitted.
