Using Utility Software Mac OS X UtilitiesThis section explains utilities you can use in Mac OS X.Panel Language SetupYou can change the operator panel displaylanguage.1 Output a menu map for the printer.To output settings, press the <ENTER> button,and select [Print Setup]>[Configuration].2 Launch the panel language setup utility.Reference● “Installing Utilities” P.863 Select a method of connection.When selecting [TCP/IP], enter an IP address.You can check the IP address on the menu mapoutput in step 1.4 Click [OK].5 For the menu map “Language Format”value, check that the value displayedon the screen matches the followingconditions.Condition 1: The first digit of the versionnumber matches.Condition 2:The value displayed on the screenis the same as or newer (higher)than the Language Format value.Memo● If Condition 1 is not met, an error will be displayedin the operator panel when downloading. If Condition1 is not met, an error will be displayed in the controlpanel when downloading. In order to restore,restart the printer. In case that Condition 1 is metbut Condition 2 is not met, though the printer canbe used, some setting names may be displayed inEnglish.6 Select a language.7 Click on [Download].The language setting file will be sent to theprinter, and when sending is complete, a messagewill be displayed.8 Restart the printer.Network Card SetupYou can use the Network Card Setup toconfigure the network.In order to use Network Card Setup, TCP/IPneeds to be activated.Note● Configure the TCP/IP settings.Configuring the IP Address1 Launch Network Card Setup.Reference● “Installing Utilities” P.862 Select the printer.3 Select [IP Address...] from the[Printer] menu.4 Configure the settings if necessary andclick [Save].5 Enter the password and click on [OK].- The default password is the last 6alphanumerical digits of the Mac address.- The password is case sensitive.6 Click on [OK] to activate the newsettings.Restart the printer network card.
