48Removing Disc1 Set the power switch to “OFF”to turn the DVD Video Cameraoff.2 Press down the DISC EJECTlever once and release it.In a moment, the cover of discinsertion compartment willopen slightly.3 Gently open the cover until itstops.When the cover is fully open,the disc will slightly come outfrom the disc guide, and stop.4 Remove the disc.Hold the top of RoundDVD Holder as shown inthe illustration andgently pull it out.Note:Be careful not to touch theexposed disc portionwhen removing the disc.5 Gently push the sectionindicated “PUSH CLOSE”on the cover of disc insertioncompartment (on side) toclose the cover.Note :• Even after the DVD Video Camera is turned on, the disccan be removed unless it is in recording status. Holddown the DISC EJECT lever for approximately 2seconds, and then release it to remove the disc. (TheDISC EJECT indicator on the LCD screen will blink.) It isrecommended that you turn the DVD Video Camera offbefore inserting or removing disc to preventmisoperation.• Do not remove the battery pack or disconnect the ACadaptor during removal of the disc or until power iscompletely turned off: If you do, the disc cover will notopen. If this happens, reattach the battery pack or ACadaptor, push down the DISC EJECT lever once, andthen release it.• Do not insert anything other than the 8 cm DVD-RAM orDVD-R disc into the disc insertion block: Doing so couldcause malfunctions.• Set the power switch to “OFF” to turn the DVD VideoCamera off.• When inserting or removing the disc, be careful not totouch the inside of DVD Video Camera [especially, thelens of laser pickup (see “Terminology” on page 148 )].• When inserting or removing the disc, connect a chargedbattery pack or AC adaptor to the DVD Video Camera:The disc cover will not open unless the DVD VideoCamera is powered.DISC EJECTWhen grasping the holder,avoid the exposed discportion.
