Whenmanual cartridge assignment is enabled (the default setting), the AssignI/E screen automatically appears on the operator panel once cartridges areplaced into the I/E station. The Assign I/E screen prompts you to use theoperator panel to assign the cartridges to a specific partition or to thesystem partition.When manual cartridge assignment is disabled, the Assign I/E screen doesnot appear on the operator panel, and the cartridges in the I/E stationremain unassigned until they are moved or imported into the library.For more information on how manual cartridge assignment affectsimporting of media, see Importing Media on page 246.You can disable manual cartridge assignment by clearing the ManualCartridge Assignment check box on the operator panel System Settingsscreen.
