SAMSUNG System Administration and Special Features GuideDCS-816 February, 19991 - 4Station Message Detailed Recording (SMDR) report each time an incorrect passcode isentered (a customer-provided printer and a serial interface module–SIM–are required). To clear the DISA alarm, follow this procedure:• Lift the handset and dial the access code 58.• Enter the DISA alarm passcode (ask your service company for this number).• Replace the handset.WARNINGAs it is impossible to prevent unauthorised access to your telephone system by hackers,we suggest that you do not turn on the DISA feature unless you intend to use it. If you douse this feature, it is good practice to frequently change access passcodes andperiodically review your telephone records to check for unauthorised use.1.11 FORCED ACCOUNT CODESAccount codes are used to provide accountability for the calls that are made. Theseaccount codes can be either forced or optional; if forced, they are always verified from asystem list of up to 200 entries.1.11-1 USING FORCED ACCOUNT CODES• Lift the handset and press the ACCT CODE key or dial 47.• Enter the account code.• Press the ACCT CODE key again, then press TRSF (or hookflash on a single linetelephone (SLT)). If a correct code is entered, you will hear DCS-816 dial tone and youcan make an outside call in the usual manner. If an incorrect code is entered, thestation returns error tone. For information on entering and changing forced account codes, see the SystemAdministrator Programming section (Part 3) of this guide.1.12 AUTHORISATION CODESAuthorisation codes are used to validate a station user and give permission to make a call. These four-digit authorisation codes can be either forced or optional; if used, they arealways verified from a system list of 30 entries. Each authorisation code has an associated class of service. When the code is entered, the class of service is changed to the dialling class of the authorisation code.1.12-1 USING AUTHORISATION CODESAfter going off-hook, you must dial ∗ followed by a four-digit authorisation code. If youenter a correct code, you will hear a confirmation tone and then receive DCS-816 dial toneand you can make an outside call in the usual manner. The station then follows thedialling class for that authorisation code. If you enter an incorrect code, the station returnserror tone. This code may or may not print an SMDR report depending on SMDRprogramming.
